Book design

On the 19th of October, 1944, 251 political prisoners were exiled from the Land of Israel to Eritrea, in east Africa, under suspicion of belonging to Jewish Resistance groups, the Lehi and the Etsel. The exile was carried out by British military and police forces, as decided by the British Authorities. Among those exiles was my Grandfather, Yehuda Borochov.

This book contains poems from the collection "We Sing for You", which was printed and published during the exile in Africa. My Grandfather collected the poems and edited them into a collection. In the collection, between the poems, are interleaved pictures of items, books, and papers, which give an additional viewpoint and a different angle for the human element which was exiled to Africa.
